Morabeza Hotel ****

This delightful hotel is situated right on the edge of Santa Maria's wonderful white sand beach.

Its close proximity to the centre of Santa Maria makes an evening stroll to enjoy a drink in one of the local bars an enjoyable experience.

Originally the home of a Belgian family; the Morabeza is the most established of all the hotels on Sal, over the years it has grown and developed into a very attractive and sought after hotel. It is still owned by the same family and today is managed by Sophie Marcellesi the daughter of the original founders. The grounds are large with well-tended gardens full of tropical flowers with pathways leading down to the beach club and restaurant.

Over the years the Morabeza has built an enviable reputation for its welcoming, friendly atmosphere and personal service, with many guests returning year after year to enjoy the tranquility the hotel provides. The rooms are a little tired, however the public areas, location, plus superb choice of amenities make it an excellent choice for both water sport enthusiasts and those seeking peace, rest and relaxation.
