Owned and personally managed by a Cape Verdean family, you immediately become aware of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that permeates throughout the hotel as you enter the reception area, which is furnished with attractive antiques and pictures reflecting the family's history and strong association with the sea.
Its location, whilst tucked away, still benefits from being close to the centre of town's restaurants, bars and shops. Built at varying levels, the swimming pool is situated on the garden terrace overlooking the small secluded beach. The well-furnished rooms spread throughout the colourful grounds and are surrounded by well-established tropical garden areas.
The 'O Farolin restaurant is particularly attractive at night as it extends out over the sea, so you enjoy hearing the relaxing sound of waves lapping the shoreline whilst you consider what to choose from the excellent menu; Creole specialties as well as international dishes and fresh fish are all available.
Cape Verdeans love their music and live music is provided on most nights in both the 'O Farolin restaurant and 'Q Bar', a popular late night meeting place.
