Oasis Atlantico Porto Grande Hotel ***

A comfortable hotel overlooking the central square of vibrant Mindelo, the cultural centre of Cape Verde.

The guest rooms are fairly basic but comfortable and are situated on two floors, either overlooking the square to the front of the hotel or the pool to the rear. There are also two spacious suites with separate living rooms.

Live music is played in the lobby bar in the evenings, which attracts both locals and holidaymakers, and the outside seating area overlooking the square is a lovely spot to enjoy a drink.

The hotel restaurant is excellent value for money serving a mix of international and traditional food. Guests can choose to relax in the hotels swimming pool and surrounding sun terraces or stroll 15 minutes to Mindelo's beach.

The last night of a holiday in São Vicente is spent on Sal.
