CHECK-INFor Gatwick flights please ensure that you check-in at least two hours prior to departure time, except Star Class which is only an hour. Manchester check-in is 90 minutes prior to departure time. A representative will be at the check-in desk to assist with any queries that may arise. If you are collecting a ticket on departure, please ensure you allocate sufficient time to pick up your documents. FLIGHT DELAYSOccasionally, despite the best efforts of all concerned, flights are delayed for reasons beyond our control. Should there be and extended delay to your homeward flight the tour operator will endeavour to delay your departure from your holiday accommodation. CURRENCYThe currency in Cape Verde is the Cape Verdean Escudo that can only be obtained in the islands. Euros are also widely accepted. We recommend that you take Euro travellers cheques. Credit cards are not widely accepted on the islands and if they are, surcharges of approximately 6% are applied. Visa is accepted on some islands but cash is the best method of payment. Banks are to be found in the main towns. Do check what charges the banks will make as they do vary. Although ATM machines can be found at the major banks in most island capitals, we recommend that you do not rely solely on this method of being able to obtain cash as the availability and operation of these machines can be unreliable. |
