Cape Verde Islands - Things to Know

REQUESTS

If you have any requests for your holiday accommodation or flights, please ensure they are made at the time of booking. We shall be pleased to pass on your request to the airline or hotel, however, we cannot guarantee that they will be met.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

A full British 10 year passport is required for entry into Cape Verde, valid for at least 6 months after your date of arrival back in the UK. Children under 16 years must have their own passport, although children and spouses already included on a family passport can continue to travel on this document until the passport is renewed. However, a spouse travelling alone must have their own passport. All British Nationals require a visa to enter Cape Verde which are only issued at the point of entry. We are able to pre-arrange visas providing that we have your passport details no later than 7 days prior to your departure date.

TICKETS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

These can be expected two weeks prior to your date of travel together with : accommodation voucher, luggage labels and a "Cape Verde Guide" for clients taking accommodation. Your actual flight timings will be those shown on your tickets, please check them carefully as soon as you receive them.

EXCESS BAGGAGE

Standard free luggage allowance is 20kg. Clients travelling on Star Class receive 40kg free luggage allowance. Each piece of luggage must be under 32kg or will be refused by the airline. Astraeus Airlines currently charge £10 per kilo for excess.
